Conestoga College

The Career Centre at Conestoga is your one-stop for personalized employment and retraining support. Services and resources are available at no cost to the job seeker. 
They can help you meet your goals! Connect with them if you want to receive assistance with: 

  • Finding new employment and career opportunities 

  • Creating a personal plan 

  • Gaining a competitive edge by connecting with Conestoga-affiliated employers 

  • Personalized job development support 

  • Understanding the job opportunities in your local area 

  • Launching your career 

  • Completing applications to access financial incentives for returning to school  

  • Exploring training options to fit your needs

On-campus locations are available in Kitchener, Stratford, and Waterloo. All are welcome. Conestoga provides itinerant services in Elmira, New Hamburg, Wellesley, and throughout Perth and Huron Counties.

House of Friendship Family Outreach Program

The Family Outreach Program is a community-based program created to prevent and reduce child poverty in the Waterloo Region.

An Outreach Worker is available on-site Monday each week to work with families who have children 17 years or younger.

The community outreach worker can help provide families with information on getting:

  • Clothing

  • Childcare and childcare needs

  • Counselling

  • Transportation (resources and information)

  • Food Cupboard

  • Covering recreation activity fees

Strong start.png

Strong Start-Get Ready for School Program

Offered at the Woolwich Community Hub the Get Ready for School Program provides 44 two-hour classes, and delivered by trained instructors and volunteers who work with children ages 3-4. The program runs from January or February to June, just prior to their start in Junior Kindergarten.

TOPS Weight Loss Support Group

TOPS is an affordable weight loss group focused on healthy living. TOPS meets at the Community Hub every Monday night from 6pm-8pm. The weigh in starts from 6:15pm-7:45pm.
